Is this an effective school?
We tried to use the Moos "three dimensions" (Relationship dimension, Personal Development Dimension, System Maintenance and System Change) to measure this school's environment. The conclusion we got is none of us wanted to send our child to this school.
It is true that it can deliver good academic results, it has good general discipline, the relationship between teachers, staff and management is good, and the leadership of this school is strong...But the school is too focused on the academic part, no CCA takes place, even PE has to make way for academic lessons, the teachers get high work pressure, and the students feel stressful about their study. There is no joy in the learning process. We all believe in the holistic education, we seek the balance between work and life. From this point of view, this school is not a "health" school; we won't send our kids to this school.
As a teacher, definitely I do not want to work in this kind of school.
What kind of school we want?
It seemed that all of my class mates wanted to send their child to School B.
Every one wants their child to be happy and at the same time can get a good academic result.
The school should be created for nurturing the whole child.
It should develop the child morally, intellectually, physically, socially and aesthetically.
